How To: Wear White in the Winter
We know it may be taboo since Labor Day has long since past due, however white is a staple in our closets this winter. We have put together three looks we hope will inspire you to bring out the white...We'll show you how to do it right!
Here we have dressed our SF shop girl, Hannah, in a white shift dress. This piece may be as basic as it gets, but there is so much you can do with it. We love the juxtaposition of the feminine frock mixed with an oversized plaid that gives nod to your boyfriend's closet. We played up the flirty shift with something sparkly on the neck. The salt and pepper knee highs* (this week's staff pick) really rounded out this day-to-night look.
If you are someone who finds yourself choosing black time and time again, then this is the trick for you! If you are anything like me, you notice yourself reaching for your "uniform" comprised of leather leggings and black printed tops on a daily basis. This look combination serves as the perfect canvas for a contrasting staple-the almighty white blazer. As soon as I put it on, it changed my look and my attitude. There is nothing like a crisp, white blazer to bring out your inner #girlboss.
Last but not least, a white fur coat is a must. It will upgrade your look from easy and everyday to funky and holiday. We paired it with our favorite Chaser tee, lace split skirt, socks and booties. This piece is more functional than you think, too. We love it worn with boyfriend jeans and a v-neck for a casual, cool look.
Hope you're feeling more brave...brave enough to catch the white wave.
